I needed some chocolate therapy today. As the clouds rolled in and Kinsley neared her nap, I found myself needing the decadent rich smooth tones of chocolate. I truly do see chocolate as my “antioxidant” of choice, and a true gift from the Lord above.
I grabbed my most potent ingredients, cocoa powder and pure, unadulterated maple syrup, and whipped up myself (and my “work from home” buddy Adam) some delicious signature hot chocolate.
I poured approximately three cups of whole milk in my copper pot. To that I “eyed” 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 1-2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup.
I stirred and stirred and stirred some more over medium heat (be careful not to scorch your milk). Voila! Instant date!
Mine with the whipped cream of course! Enjoy!!
